Compare the New Subaru Outback to the Honda CR-V!

When it comes to the new Subaru Outback, it's not as much of a question about what do you need to do behind the wheel of your next vehicle as what do you want to do behind the wheel of your next vehicle. The new 2019 Subaru Outback is designed to accommodate any lifestyle here in Bellevue and the nearby Issaquah and Sammamish areas, providing you with the versatility, capability and accommodations that you need to have more fun on any outing. Whether it's getting the kids to school, going to work in the morning or enjoying an outdoor adventure at the most remote location, the new Outback allows you to do it all and so much more. With so many different crossover SUVs on the market, we understand how it can be difficult to find the one that's right for you. That's why we're going to compare the new Subaru Outback to the Honda CR-V, providing you with the perspective that you need to find out if the new Outback is the right fit for you!

Subaru Outback vs. Honda CR-V

  • From commuting in Bellevue to exploring the rural areas around Mercer Island, the new Outback allows you to do it all with ease thanks to standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive on every model. The new CR-V, however, comes equipped with standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive equipped models costing more.
  • The Honda CR-V has the edge over the Outback in terms of fuel economy, but being that they're in different classes and the Outback offers standard all-wheel drive, it's to be expected. However, with 18.5 gallons of fuel capacity in the Outback and only 14 gallons in the CR-V, the Outback allows you to travel further on a single tank.
  • Every new Outback model now comes with a standard Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system, featuring adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, and more. The CR-V offers a similar suite of safety technology, but not as a standard feature and only on higher trim levels.
  • The Outback offers a more spacious cabin than the CR-V does, providing you and yours with 108.1 cubic feet of passenger volume while the CR-V falls short with 105.9 cubic feet.
  • All Outback models come with a Starlink multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, allowing you to make calls, send messages, change music, use apps, and more using voice activated technology or using the standard touchscreen display. The CR-V also offers a similar infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but not standard.
  • The Outback is in a different class than the CR-V, so it's no surprise that it offers more towing capacity than the CR-V does, offering 2,700 pounds compared to 1,500 pounds from the CR-V.
  • The Outback comes with standard raised roof rails, making it easier to attach a roof rack or bring more of your cargo on the road with you. The CR-V doesn't offer standard roof rails.
  • The Outback offers available LED steering responsive headlights while the CR-V does not.
